Ryan Hatch—Director
Ryan Hatch is from Lehi, Utah. Hatch is a Principal Artist with Utah Metropolitan Ballet. He joined Utah Metropolitan Ballet as an Artist in 2020, was promoted to a Solo Artist in 2022, and was promoted to Principal Artist in 2023. Throughout his time with Utah Metropolitan Ballet he has loved performing the roles of The Prince in Snow White, Snow Prince and Waltz of the Flowers pas de deux in Jacqueline Colledge’s Nutcracker, Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream, as well as originating The Cowardly Lion in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz! Hatch has loved performing in contemporary works by Alan Hineline, Brittnee Squires, and Heather Gray.
Hatch graduated with his Master's of Fine Arts in Choreography through Jacksonville University in April 2024. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance from Brigham Young University in April 2020. While attending BYU, he danced on full scholarship with BYU Theatre Ballet for 5 years where he served as the student president. While at BYU he performed as the Principal roles in works by Gerald Arpino, George Balanchine, Paul Taylor, and Martha Graham.
Hatch is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and attended the CPYB Teacher Training. At Brigham Young University is an adjunct faculty member, Ballet Area Outreach Coordinator, and Director of the Ballet Summer Workshop. Hatch is excited to work with the students for another Ballet Summer Workshop!
