ADMISSION
BYU Continuing Education programs do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, color, ethnic background, or national origin. All registrants must maintain the ideals and standards of the university while on campus. BYU Continuing Education is committed to providing a learning atmosphere, which reasonably accommodates persons with disabilities who are otherwise qualified. Prior to registration, all applicants with disabilities are invited to discuss both the program requirements and available facilities with the program administrator.
BYU HONOR CODE
Participants attending these programs must maintain the standards of Brigham Young University (i.e., high standards of honor, integrity, language, and morality; abstinence from tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, and harmful drugs; and modesty in dress). Athletic shorts and performance attire are acceptable only in the PE and housing areas. Shorts worn in other areas on campus must be knee-length. Dress standards are strictly enforced in the cafeterias and on the main campus. A clean and well-cared-for appearance should be maintained. Hairstyles should be clean and neat, avoiding extreme styles. Men’s hair should be trimmed above the collar, leaving the ear uncovered. Earrings for men are unacceptable, and men are expected to be clean-shaven. Beards are therefore not acceptable, except for documented reasons that must be coordinated with BYU CE Events.
The following are the responsibilities of each participant: Maintain respectful attitudes toward faculty, coaches, instructors, counselors, and all other individuals; demonstrate proper use of university equipment and facilities; attend camp sessions and activities; follow instructions; respect curfews; dress modestly; refrain from vulgar and profane language; and come prepared to observe the BYU Honor Code.
BYU Continuing Education is committed to providing a learning atmosphere that reasonably accommodates persons with disabilities who are otherwise qualified to attend. Before registering, all applicants with disabilities may discuss the program requirements and available facilities with the program director.
Any participant involved in theft; the illegal use of drugs; consumption of alcohol; infraction of dormitory rules, curfew, or BYU standards; or any other unlawful or immoral act will be sent home, prosecuted, or both. No refunds will be given to those asked to leave the program because of these violations. Parents are responsible for picking up a participant who has been dismissed and for paying any transportation costs. Due to safety and liability concerns, participants found in or entering campus construction areas will be subject to immediate dismissal.

For liability reasons, dance trainers are not available at the BYU Dance Camps. Any injuries sustained during camp will be treated at a medical center. If your son or daughter needs medication during the camp, please contact BYU Conferences and Workshops before the camp begins so we can make an appropriate plan (see Insurance below).
We reserve the right to make changes to any policy or procedure in this catalog at any time and without notice. We also reserve the right to refuse service or entrance to any person for any reason.
Due to BYU Housing policies, early-arrival accommodations will not be available for any BYU Dance Camps. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
For residence hall participants only, recreational activities during free time are essential to a successful camp experience. When residence hall participants are not in evening training sessions, they enjoy structured activities under the direction of trained counselors. These activities provide an opportunity for social interaction and fun. Free time may be used to relax, become acquainted with the campus, and get to know other participants.
It's easy to give a gift certificate for dance camp. Here's how:
- Register your son, daughter, brother, or sister!
- This is the best part! After registering, close the pop-up window, then print one of our gift certificates below for each person you’ve registered, then just roll it up and tie it with a ribbon. If Registration is not open yet, you can still give a gift certificate with the name of the dance camp, then remember to register once it opens!
- Now all you need is to find the perfect moment to show them how much you care!
Participants requesting the housing package will stay in BYU residence halls. The cost includes meals in the all-you-can-eat cafeteria, an evening recreational program, and counselor supervision. Bedding and linens will be furnished for each participant. This includes two towels, one washcloth, one fitted sheet, one top sheet, one blanket, one pillow, and a pillowcase. If anything more than this is needed, please bring it with you. Please remember to bring soap, clothes hangers, swimsuits, an alarm clock, and other personal items. Participants will be liable for any damage they cause to university property, equipment, or facilities. Housing is limited, so please register early!
Participants must carry primary insurance while attending Dance Camps. Adult participants and parents/guardians of minor participants are solely responsible for personal insurance coverage during the dance programs. Adult participants and parents/guardians are responsible for all medical expenses incurred for participants in all camps and workshops. Parents of participants incurring a serious illness will be contacted to discuss the course of action. If parents or guardians cannot be reached, the sick participant may be taken to the hospital for treatment.
All camps and workshops offer lunch either in the campus all-you-can-eat cafeterias or on-site. Some camp packages include dinner in the same cafeteria. Please see each specific camp for this information.
